Biography
- Born in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, in artistic work, she deepens and experiences the techniques of engraving and printmaking processes, accompanying the production of engravings, expressed in large format, and characterised by plots of signs obtained with the sum of traditional and experimental chalcographic techniques, with that of macchine oggetto (object machines). She has been part of the Interdisciplinary Research and Experimental Group of the Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Cagliari and experimental groups in the field of arts and shows. She carried out projects of intervention in the urban space commissioned by public bodies as well as the reclassification of city peripheral architecture. She was a professor and head of the Engraving and Printmaking Techniques of the Instituto Europeo di Design de Cagliari (Italy) between 1992 and 1997. In 2001, she was invited by the Romanian Ministry of Culture to participate as an "artiste en residence" in Tescani. At the beginning of the 90s, she created her workshop, Casa Falconieri: a centre for experimentation and research, and the only example of open and experimental management of the arts of engraving. This highly innovative model has drawn up new guidelines, obtaining international recognition. Since 2006, she has been representing the Italian Ministry of Cultural Property and Activities at the Fondazione Teatro Lirico in Cagliari.
