Biography
- Born in Madrid on 27 August 1951. Between 1972 and 1974 she studied drawing and painting at the Artakio Academy in Madrid under the direction of Rosendo Loriente. In 1999, she was finalist of the 7th Edition of the National Engraving Awards having worked as a printer in the workshops of Antonio Lorenzo, Monirul Islam, and Manuel Ayllón. From 1996 to date she has participated in Estampa (International Contemporary Engraving Show, Madrid) with various galleries and different editors of graphic works. Since 1979, she has been conducting periodic solo and group exhibitions. The former include some at the Estampa Gallery (Madrid), C.A.E. Gallery (Dacca, Bangladesh), Seiquer Gallery (Madrid), Salle Vertige (Paris, France), Wssel Gallery (Cartagena, Murcia), Tom Maddock Gallery (Barcelona), Maricel Exhibition Space (Sitges, Barcelona), Theseus Gallery (Barcelona), Art Propos (The Hague, Netherlands), Maruja Mallo Exhibition Space (Las Rozas, Madrid), Tolmo Gallery (Toledo), Dialogue Gallery (Paris, France), "El Jardin de Serrano" Shopping Centre (Madrid), Architect Association in Badajoz, Edith Mbella Gallery (Madrid). His work is present in the private collection of the Sultan Gallery in Kuwait and in the collections of the Banco de Santander and Telefónica, in addition to being included as an engraver in the Archive of Contemporary Art of the Spain’s Biblioteca Nacional.
